dc.description.abstractMost studies for implementation of access networks are generally focused on countries where their areas have high population density, this optimization seeks to provide solutions in countries and cities with a similar reality of Arequipa, whose population densities are lower and where the number of buildings in a square kilometer is almost none. This paper provides a graph which can relate the population density and the optimal topology to save optical fiber costs in a theoretical implementation of a distributed GPON network using distribution and access splitters.es_PE
