Item Design and Implementation of a Submersible Split Ring Resonator Based Sensor for Pisco Concentration Measurements(IEEE, 2019) Nuñez Flores, Alana De Los Angeles; Castillo Araníbar, Patricia RaquelThe design of an Split Ring Resonator (SRR) based sensor is proposed for pisco concentration measurements through the characterization of the permittivity in liquids solutions containing pisco. The design is composed of two SRRs coupled to a loop structure. The principle of detection is based on the submersion of the sensor in pisco solutions with different concentrations. It generates a shift of resonance frequencies which is shown in the return loss response. This change is related to the permittivity of the measured solution. The SRR based sensor is a low cost, high sensitivity and reusable design.Item Omnidirectional triple-band printed dipole antenna based on a dual frequency SRRs(IEEE, 2019) Santos Valdivia, Nilton Pablo; Castillo Araníbar, Patricia RaquelThis paper presents a compact triple-band planar antenna. The prototype is based on a printed dipole which is excited with Split Ring Resonators (SRRs) as resonant elements to get three frequency bands. To validate the proposed design, an experimental prototype has been manufactured and measured. Good agreement is achieved between simulation and measurements showing that the proposed antenna has three distinct bands that cover the entire WLAN bands at 2.40 GHz and 5.8 GHz and future PMSE access for video link applications at 7.2 GHz.
